Hangouts: Genie TutorialCopyleft Games Group

Help at least 2 other students get started with Genie in a Hangouts On Air. Its suggested to use this task to help new students with problems they run into with their Intro to Genie tasks, but any students newer to Genie are a good fit.

Make sure to cover compiling using valac, what vapis are, init vs construct, events, and other basic language features. Use screencasting to show code, compiling, and your debugging process.

The Hangout can be run anytime that's convenient and should run 20-30 minutes. Before the hangout, work out a rough schedule for the hangout and try to keep it from running on too long. Test your video, audio, lighting, software, network, etc with a test Hangout an hour or more before the Hangout so you have enough time to fix any issues.

While working on this task you should join and remain in #CopyleftGames on Freenode to get help, feedback, and guidance from mentors and other developers. This task will not be assigned until you have connected to IRC and demonstrated basic knowledge of Genie.

Post a link to the resulting Youtube video of the Hangout On Air to finish this task.
