Hangouts: Mercurial TutorialCopyleft Games Group
STATUS: DRAFT

Help at least 2 other students get started with Mercurial in a Hangouts On Air. Cover what Mercurial is, how it works, and basic commands for a new developer to get started. Be sure to cover common newbie issues such as merging, diff reviewing, and how to revert uncommitted changes.

The Hangout can be run anytime that's convenient and should run 20-30 minutes. Before the hangout, work out a rough schedule for the hangout and try to keep it from running on too long. Test your video, audio, lighting, software, network, etc with a test Hangout an hour or more before the Hangout so you have enough time to fix any issues.

While working on this task you should join and remain in #CopyleftGames on Freenode to get help, feedback, and guidance from mentors and other developers. This task will not be assigned until you have connected to IRC and demonstrated basic knowledge of Mercurial.

Post a link to the resulting Youtube video of the Hangout On Air to finish this task.
