Sprout: NetworkManager Wired ConnectionCopyleft Games Group

As Sprout behaves as the sole GUI interface for the device (sans-X11), it would be fantastic if users could manage their network connections from it. As this is a fairly large task we're splitting it into several steps.

This is the first; use dbus to connect to NetworkManager and give a switch for turning on/off wired connections. You will need appropriate icons for displaying wired connection states (disconnected, connecting, connected) and the on/off switch. Most of this task will be in the UI design and implementation since dbus is trivial to use from Genie and the NetworkManager API is simple.

Once this task is complete additional NetworkManager tasks will be unlocked.

Begin by creating a bootable SD card from our current Sprout image.

While working on this task you should join and remain in #CopyleftGames on Freenode to get help, feedback, and guidance from mentors and other developers. Code updates which may affect your work are also announced here as they happen.

When you've done, commit your work and post the resulting changeset url to this task.
